Conspiracy of Science – Earth is in fact growing
This video is a Neal Adams animation about his theory that the Earth is growing. This collides with the Pangea theory. Watch it, you will be amazed.

I totally agree …
I totally agree with the 200ma globe. I think Mr A has a lot on that issue.
btw: Thanks for …
btw: Thanks for saying it was a good question. Now I’m totally confused.
Holy crap phd …
Holy crap phd you’re at it again. I made a perfectly reasonable statement, a question, pointing out my own ignorance of the subject and inviting any information.
I didn’t frame the debate, I just went to wiki and saw that the only Rodinia “evidence” argued there was this stupid paleo-whatever. Asked for some clarification of this “evidence” which you respond isn’t evidence at all. Fine!
Now we’ll go back and forth about my pyschology or something only to get mass-delete by Neal. Thanks!
@etzel33
If I …
@etzel33
If I was Neal, I’d be stumbling over myself to map out the Geology on his 200Ma globe.
I mean – I can look out of my window and tell you right out of the box his globe is wrong (and therefore EE?) because of the several thousand feet of uninterrupted, shallow marine limestone deposits with associated corals (<- corals like shallow, warm water), later trending to massive tropical forests.
(P.S. Whoever marked Etzel’s question as spam… quit it! It was a good question!).
@etzel33
I ask …
@etzel33
I ask this question, because the UK is in the polar regions on his model. The UK’s Carboniferous deposits are exclusively tropical.
Now, you could have made the argument that there were ‘global hothouse’ conditions at the Carboniferous, if it weren’t for those pesky extensive Glacier deposists that – when correlated in areal extent – cluster around the predicted site for the South Pole from palaeomagnetism.
This is why Geology is such an amazing subject: Corroboration.

@etzel33
Palaeolatitude is just a position in 2 dimensions (latitude and time). It is not itself evidence, an argument nor data as you pointed out.
I do find it amusing that you are framing the ‘debate’, and appointing yourself judge, jury and executioner, whilst yourself not knowing what the details of the debate actually mean.
Ask Neal (as I have asked several times before but didn’t get a reply) – what is his configuration of the Carboniferous Seas on his globe.
phd: I was really …
phd: I was really hoping you’d argue that it was, in fact, evidence… like exactly WHAT it is. Magnetic or something? Seashell configurations? Ancient Latitude evidence = what exactly?

“Paleo-latitudinial, like all contrivances, means, what-ever-you-want-it-to-mean, …or BULLS**T!”
Palaeo = Ancient
Latitudinal = Latitude
There is no difference between the useage of these words in a Geological context to using:
Prime = First
Matter = Stuff
In a Physics context. You keep lopping off limbs with the very sword you are trying to attack with. Like your ‘Where did all the matter from the Big Bang come from’.
Where did all the Prime Matter come from? (*THUD*)
earth age is over …
earth age is over 4billion years old. And this video takes place about 185million years ago as said around 7:25. So basically it took 185million years for earth to grow to what it is now. So it randomly just started growing and all this water came from where? What about the 4 billion years before this time. This is bull its interesting but it makes no sense, everything can look fine and dandy when a computer animation shows it but logically it doesn’t make sense.
etzel, Definition, …
etzel, Definition,. Paleo-latitudinial, like all contrivances, means, what-ever-you-want-it-to-mean,…or BULLS**T!
As usual, it’s easiest to IN-clude bullshit. Height over paleo -ancient. latitudinal -up and down position. …You know,… like in my animations. how high, (or low) on the globe it is ,..WHEN.
Scientists create/throw in words that “you” are not intended to understand. They could say.” Positions on the globe at various tines in the ancient past. and we’d ALL be at the party.

I don’t know what “paleolatitudinal” evidence is, but based on wiki-Rodinia it looks like that’s the only thing that Neal needs to overcome (or incorporate).

In his videos, Neal sounds so likeable too! Just once I’d like to see a video of Neal on CAPSLOCK
He’s right about the Republicans lol

Gents. I suppose a gentleman, like a Democrat, must remain civil, as a lying jackass Republican lies to ones face and shoves in ones ears. BUT between 700 and 300 years EVOLUTIONARY LIFE on the Earth remained Homogeneous throughout!
THERE IS NOT ONE SINGLE OUNCE OF PROOF THAT A MASSIVE SEPARATE RODINIA EXISTED, AS DESCRIBED, AND BROKE UP 700 MYA. IN ANY BRANCH IF SCIENCE. Rodinia is a cover-up, a conspiracy, of ALL OF Geology, to bury the work of Sam CAREY.
I’m gonna get’cha, liars.
@nealadamsdotcom …
@nealadamsdotcom hmmm, its true only by putting extra lead in ones cornflakes can one lower the powers of intellectual perception suitably, to find the Rodinia proposition even remotely acceptable…
Though i’ve noticed that a few hours watching sports on tv seems to bring about the same effect.
Fudd and Gents. … …
Fudd and Gents. ….and THEN. as the Magnet-that-is-Pangea draws EVERY SINGLE LAND MASS to one side of the Earth. LEAVING NONE OUTSIDE on the other side of the Earth, DEFYING LAS VEGAS ODDS,…..all the life forms evolved over 400 Million Years on each continent Join in one diverse vast zoo of diverse evolution and incredibly different life forms, to RE-INTEGRATE.,…EACH continent as different as night and day.
IN-BLOODY-CREDIBLE, AND the Proof is,,…NO WHERE! And Geologists left as LIARS-ALL
Fudd and Gents, Ah …
Fudd and Gents, Ah, Rodinia, Rodinia,…Holding together for 400 Million Years,…then BREAKING APART, all of a sudden into 7 or 8 pieces, (sans islands) and THE PIECES spinning and bumping around the world, driving up invisible mountain ranges
and evolving new and diverse life forms for another 400 Million years, then,… as if arriving at the same party at the same moment. NOT ONE MASSIVE PIECE left on the other side of the planet ….FUKIN’ INCREDIBLE,.. AND as they MERGE INTO ONE…

@phdhbtdsmmm
hmmm okay, true, this part of my argument does require better support.
It will take me a bit of time to do some research into the Rodinia evidence, I don’t even know for sure who proposed it, so I’ll have to call time out on this point for the moment.
I have got a shape file vector of the proposed fit, made by some aussie university….

“But really the proof is there for anyone to see, check out the fits using google earth and photoshop, or buy your self a globe and trace the continents off it.”
I asked you for a link to a map that demonstrates Rodinia matches in the Pacific, and your response is:
“PT fudges it by ignoring the out-of-date maps”
and
“Do it yourself with Google Earth and Photoshop” (which will give inherent, inaccurate 2D distortions).
AJ. You HAVE to do better than this.

I’m just asking for a direct link to a reconstruction that you claim shows Rodinia with all the continents in the Pacific in contact with each other.
“but not surprisingly PT does its best to ignore and fudge the fit.”
Where? Show me a map which ‘fudges’ the fit and isn’t based on field evidence please, and your evidence.
“Not mention the fact that most of them ignore it completely.”
That’s because it no longer represents the current state of knowledge.

I’m not an expert on the Laramide Orogeny I’m afraid, Kappa. I’ll have to do some research to answer your question.
Consensus seems to be shallow-angle subduction causing overlying crustal shortening (and mountain-building) from the drag of the underlying plate.
I don’t think this is a huge leap of the imagination.
Looking at how the …
Looking at how the Earth has grown, and Neals’ other video of the moon growth, It seems that moons and planets grow in different ways. The moon spreads more in circular shapes (the darker areas are newer growth on the moon.)
On the Earth, the areas of growth are long rifts, (more like lines) that fill with water. We know, that growth has accelerated on Earth. And the moon is much smaller than the Earth. Mars is transition, like going from spreading circles to rifting lines.
Ring of fire?
@phdhbtdsmmm There …
@phdhbtdsmmm There are several, but not surprisingly PT does its best to ignore and fudge the fit. Not mention the fact that most of them ignore it completely.
The best Rodinia maps were produced by Dr Hugh Owen of the British Museum, but they fell out of fashion, from the 1980’s they were left out of most publications.
But really the proof is there for anyone to see, check out the fits using google earth and photoshop, or buy your self a globe and trace the continents off it.
Its easy.

“The ones I keep finding tuck Australia into West America and Antarctica into South America.”
You keep finding Australia close to Antarctica and South America because *that’s where they are calculated to be according to the Geology*.
I’m not sure where these claims come from that Rodinia matches continents up perfectly in the Pacific, because I’ve never seen a reconstruction like this before.
Is there an …
Is there an official Rodina Map anywhere? The ones I keep finding tuck Australia into West America and Antarctica into South America. It almost seems to fit together as if the East Pacific and West Americas were joined at one point of another.
